MALAY LANGUAGE
The Malay language, or better known as Bahasa Melayu, is a language that are being spoken by ethnic Malays, an ethnic group that live in the Malay Peninsula and the Malay Archipelago in Southeast Asia, as well as many of the Austronesian people of the area. It is the national language of Malaysia (Malaysian), Brunei, Indonesia (Indonesian), an official language in Singapore, besides being a working language in East Timor (Indonesian), and a recognized and significant minority in Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines and Cambodia. The Malay language is also known as part of the Austronesian family of languages.
The same like other languages too, the purpose of learning these language is that whenever you are traveling to Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia it is known as the national language so by knowing to speak in the language will help you to communicate with the locals.
Other than that it is also important because when working in Malaysia, Malay language is still considered important especially when talking among the colleagues and if the upper management is dominated by Malay. Since the language training center is providing Malay language lesson for the students, many would be encouraged to take the 6 months up to a year courses in order to be fully equipped with the principle of Malay language. The classes are often being held around 3 days a week, with 2 hours per session. For one month you have to completed over 24 hours for their Malay class.
